The Inside Line: Bradford City v Bristol City (14/04/2015)

April 14 th , 2015. Could this be the day? The moment of crowning glory this team has worked so hard for all season? The maths are now simple. A win at Bradford on Tuesday night will mean Bristol City become the first team in the country to gain promotion this season. That in itself is a mark of the success we’ve had, and I’m pretty certain this success-ravenous manager City somewhat stumbled across will be drilling this into his players in the dressing-room before the match. This is another chance to make headlines as ‘winners’, a chance to get our club’s names and their own names up in lights at the same time. The accolades will follow as and when promotion is achieved, but I think it’s fair representation of our season, and of our approach, that most fans are travelling up to Yorkshire in expectation rather than hope. Cotterill seems to have created a team of winners across the club and even the fans are now turning up with a a more positive mindset than at any previous...

The Inside Line: Bradford City (11/01/2014)

Over to Lewis Hancock again for this week’s 'Inside Line’ on the Bantams, Bradford City It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions since the opening day of the season and now halfway through the campaign, it’s about time things started going City’s way! Steve Cotterill’s appointment divided fans’ opinion, but after only one loss in all competitions since he took over and two wins on the bounce, Cotterill is certainly turning heads.  Securing Karleigh Osborne on a permanent basis and Tyrone Barnett on loan until the end of the season won't have done him any harm either. However, let’s not jump the gun. The same was being said about Sean O’Driscoll prior to his sacking and, on paper, January is set to be a very tricky month in League One, starting with Bradford City away. Having flirted with the play-off places for most of the season, the Bantams seem to have tailed off of late and now find themselves in mid-table. City haven’t won against Bradford for 18 ...

The Inside Line: Bradford City (03/08/13)

The countdown is over, the new season is almost upon us and with that comes the introduction of a brand new feature on The Exiled Robin. Each week, with the help of some esteemed fellow writers, I'll be bringing you a fan's take on the opposition, giving you the chance to find out a little more about them ahead of the match. Now you may have thought we'd been relegated but as we kick off the season against last season's League Cup runners-up, a side that went on to win at Wembley, surely that's not true? Bradford City had a remarkable season last time out, one which they surely can't repeat, although you can't help but feel we may have drawn the short straw in pulling them first, whilst last years elation and confidence is still so prominent. I spoke to Mahesh Johal from " The Width of a Post " - a thoroughly comprehensive website following the Bantams and he gave me a in-depth view of what we can expect from Phil Parkinson's Clar...
